Introduction to the Podcast

Welcome to Beyond the Sights, a podcast on monuments and sights, their history and their significance. In this introduction episode we discuss what the program is about and why we are making it. The short version: we want to give you an overview of the historic and cultural context of several cities and towns and explain why their main sights are significant and worthwhile visiting.

We believe that this is a good way to improve the experience of sight-seeing: instead of just taking a few pictures and reading a washed-out information table, having an overview will make the visit more interesting and exciting.
